Ava Danner Ava Danner serves as Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Macomb County – Otsikita Council. Prior to joining Girl Scouts of Macomb County, she was a Programmer/Analyst with Compuware Corporation. She has been involved in Girl Scouting for twenty-seven years as a girl member, camp staff member, troop leader, and professional staff member. She has been with Girl Scouts of Macomb County for over nine years as product sales/program coordinator, program management director, and her current appointment is as chief executive officer. Ms. Danner earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan – Flint. She is a member of the American Cancer Society National Relay for Life Advisory Team, the chairperson of the American Cancer Society Great Lakes Division (Michigan and Indiana) Training Team, a member of the Mt. Clemens Rotary Club, a member of the Macomb County Tobacco Prevention Coalition, a member of Macomb County Abstinence Partnership Community Advisory Committee, and a past vice chairperson of the Macomb County Inter-Agency Council.

Daniel A. Martinez Dan Martinez was named the Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts-Michigan Waterways Council in July of 2006. Prior to joining Michigan Waterways, Dan worked for the city of Taylor, most recently serving as Executive Director of Parks and Recreation for 8 years. Under his leadership the Parks and Recreation Department increased services and programs while expanding community partnerships. One of these partnerships included the creation of Rotary Park in Taylor which earned him a Paul Harris Fellowship from the Taylor Rotary .A highlight of his career in Taylor was serving as a Secret Service, White House and Democratic Party liaison for visits to the city by President Bill Clinton in 1996, and President George W. Bush and Senator John F. Kerry in 2004. Dan was also part of the project team that built two award winning facilities in Taylor, the Taylor Sportsplex hockey and soccer complex and Heritage Park Petting Farm. Prior to his work in Parks and Recreation Dan worked in economic development, community development and Tax Increment Financing.Dan was elected to the Taylor Board of Education in 1994 and re-elected in 1998. He served as secretary of the board for 5 years and president for 3. Under his leadership the district successfully merged 3 high schools into 2 and maintained a balance budget while adding academic programs. Dan represents the GS-MWC on the St Clair County Community Services Coordinating Body and has been a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Out Wayne County, James Madison Alumni Association, Taylor Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Recreation and Parks Association and is a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts. A 1988 graduate of Michigan State University with a B.A. in Public Policy from James Madison College, Dan is married to Kimberly and has 4 children and 3 stepchildren.

Dawn M. Reha Dawn M. Reha serves as Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts Fair Winds Council. Prior to joining Girl Scouts, Ms. Reha was the General Manager of Insurance Operations at Michigan State Medical Society in East Lansing. During her 13 year tenure at the medical society she worked her way trough the ranks beginning as a secretary and later serving as Membership and Marketing Director, Executive Director of the medical society foundation, Chief of Customer Service and Data Analysis, and Manager of Specialty Society Relationships. Ms. Reha holds a Bachelor of Human Resources from Spring Arbor College and a Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan-Flint. She is also a 2006 graduate of the Leadership Michigan program from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Foundation and a 2007 participant in the Detroit Orientation Institute at Wayne State University. She serves as a Shiawassee County Fair superintendent and on the Shiawassee County Small Animal Association. She is also co-advisor of the TGIF/Interact club at Owosso High School.

Arlene M. Robinson For approximately six years, Arlene M. Robinson has served as the chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit. Of Councils nationwide, Metro Detroit is the sixth largest and provides a variety of opportunities to 32,000 girls in Wayne and Oakland Counties with the support and assistance of 13,449 volunteers. Metro Detroit provides traditional Girl Scouting, day, camping and other cutting edge outdoor programs, older girl programs, cultural enrichment, human sexuality, drug and alcohol prevention, conflict resolution, after school programs, wider opportunity trips across the United States, Africa and Europe, and many other age appropriate services to girls 5-17 years of age. GSMD offers these services through schools, churches, community centers, and other human services agencies. Prior to joining Girl Scouts, Ms Robinson served as a Mayoral Appointee for seven years as the first director of the City of Detroit Youth Department. Ms. Robinson has had the privilege of creating programs and services for youth and young adults. She instituted youth leadership programs, collaborative after school programs, transportation and funding programs for small community based organizations; a free tickets program for city youth; annual grants seekers conferences (a collaborative effort); employment and training programs; and created the Mayor’s Annual Conference on Education, to name several programs. Past experiences include: President of Efficacy Detroit, a not for profit organization dedicated to fostering the intellectual development of all children; Vice President, Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, a private, not for profit organization formed to generate jobs and tax base through industrial and commercial development within the City of Detroit; President of Community Training & Development Corp., a private, not for profit organization formed to improve life opportunities of young adults; and, Counseling Psychologist at Robeson/Tubman Community Development Corp., a not for profit methadone out-patient treatment facility for substance abusers. Ms. Robinson is a licensed counselor, possesses a M.A. in Counseling from the University of Detroit, and has engaged in continuing education through the WSU Graduate School of Business and the Wharton Business School Executive Leadership Development Program. She is a past president of the Junior League of Birmingham, and a current member of the Women’s Economic Club, the Detroit Athletic Club, and the Rotary Club of Detroit. She actively participates in the community by serving on boards, task groups, and committees; and, has received recognition for her service to the community.
