Here's a "taste" of the 2008 Gala...

6 p.m.

Visitors arrive and begin enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvre and the eight gourmet desserts created by area chefs (visit the Sponsors & Restaurants link above for more information on participants). The Silent Auction and the Cash Bar open. Enjoy tasting all the desserts and vote for your favorite.

Welcome & Introductions — 6:15 p.m.

Brief and informative remarks about the evening's festivities from our Cookie Diva and from Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit CEO Arlene M. Robinson.

Voting Concludes — 7:15 p.m.

Guests and Judges complete their ballots for best dessert of the event. Make sure to sample all eight desserts and choose your favorite for the People's Choice Award!

Silent Auction Concludes — 7:30pm

Previous auctions have included items such as Dom Perignon Champagne, Detroit Tigers tickets (box seat w/ VIP Parking), Fox Theater tickets, Luxury Room at The Townsend (w/ Romantic Encounter Package), Detroit Pistons tickets (w/ VIP Parking), Freshwater Pearl Bracelet, Michigan Opera Theater tickets, Spa Nordstrom gift certificate, and dozens of others.

Live Auction — 7:30 p.m.

Gala goers can bid on exciting, exclusive items including a Disney vacation (donated by presenting sponsor General Motors).

Immediately following the Live Auction, the Cookie Diva is joined by members of the Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit Press Corps as announcements are made and awards are bestowed for CEO's Choice, People's Choice, and Judges' (Blue Ribbon) winners. Silent Auction winners will also be announced

Closing Remarks—7:55 p.m.

Departing guests will receive a goodie bag and have a

chance to purchase Girl Scout Cookies at our Cookie Booth!
